Pinnacle Peak is world renowned for its delicious mesquite broiled steaks at very reasonable prices, huge portions, and its "NO NECKTIE POLICY." This Tradition started one night when we first opened. A customer (city folk) came into our restaurant wearing (can you imagine), suits and ties. Well, we took offense (wanting to keep the atmosphere in the restaurant casual) and told the customer, "Either you take off that tie, or I'll cut it off." The customer did not heed and was appalled when we cut off his tie. We proudly hung the tie on the rafter with a business card attached to recognize the customer for the loss of his tie, and so all could see that "NO TIES WOULD BE ALLOWED!" Thus the tradition began. In upholding this tradition, we have cut off tens of thousands of neckties from unsuspecting customers. You can find them hanging from the rafters at each of our three Southern California locations.
